A handful of days ago, I posted some photos of a new expansion of Fel-Pro RRR, a conservation area near my house.

My parents and I went back there again today to exercise, and we went into a deeper area near a pond. I took some more photos.

Strangest-looking hard-boiled eggs I’ve ever seen

During lunch today, I looked inside my mom’s bowl of noodles and encountered the strangest-looking hard-boiled eggs I’ve ever seen in my life. I took a photo and decided to share.

New expansion to Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area

There’s a conservation area near my house that recently got an expansion. My parents and I went there today to go for a walk.

This is a view of the entrance from across the street. It even comes with a paved parking lot, instead of tiny pebbles.

This is the first stretch of curved road, and a small shelter for people who are unable to walk 100 feet without getting tired.

This is the second stretch of curved road. There are decorations along the side of the road; the two you see on the left side of the photo are a spinning toy and some flat rocks.

This is the inner woody area of the trail.

There’s also a body of water for people who like to fish, and a bridge for people who like to pretend they’re Jesus.

According to the sign, this is a sheltered area with a table.

We came across a snake on the side of the road. My mom got terrified of it; I took a photo of it.

Nearing the exit of the conservation area, you can take the left path if you want to get out, or take the right path if you haven’t had enough yet.

The final stretch of road before hitting the parking lot of the older section of the conservation area.

Some people claim that this new expansion is as good as a national park. I don’t think it’s that great, but I still think it’s pretty well-built.

Eating at Chef Ping

My parents and I went out to get some lunch again, today to Chef Ping (yes, that’s the name of the actual restaurant).

The chef was apparently a regular cook at Yu’s Restaurant, a different restaurant nearby that we often go to. The cook then supposedly left Yu’s to set up his own restaurant, which is now wildly popular. When we arrived, we had to wait a while for other people to leave first before being able to go in to eat.

And of course, to make you hungry, I took a photo of my food so I could post it online.

That is garlic chicken.

Buffets make me overeat

Earlier today, my parents and I went to a buffet to get some lunch. There wasn’t anything particularly special about this buffet, other than the strange blue lighting near the serving tables.

This was my original plate of food; I got a little bit of everything that seemed like something I would want.

After my main plate, I got an extra plate of just sushi. My mom got these color fish eggs that I thought were interesting to look at, so I took a picture.

Finally, we had dessert. I had a little bit of sherbert, as well as mini cakes.

I overate so much that I skipped dinner.

Official announcement: The next step

Since the end of my summer internship, my quest to earn my bachelor’s degree is officially over. A naturally following question everyone has been asking me is what I’m doing next. I haven’t revealed anything specific because I don’t reveal things to the public unless I am 100% certain what I announce is what I am really going to do.

So here’s the long-awaited answer to the question, “what’s next?”

I will be attending Northwestern University, studying to earn a Master of Science degree in secondary education with a focus on social sciences. My expected graduation date is sometime near 2015, at which time I will be officially licensed and certified to teach at the middle and high school level.

This does not necessarily mean that other plans I might have hinted at have been discarded. I may still try to work towards those goals, but they just happen to be postponed for the moment. My choice to pursue secondary education was not forced upon me by any entity, and was completely voluntary in the sense that it is something I wanted to do and something that I will enjoy doing.

That is my official announcement; any information conflicting with what I have stated can be safely overlooked as a false rumor. Like always, thanks for all of your support and your continued curiosity of my well-being.
