foursquare sent me a tablecloth.

While I was going through the photos on my camera today, I came across this photo of a foursquare tablecloth.

foursquare Tablecloth

I remembered that I took this photo ten days ago so I can show my friend how ridiculous it was that foursquare sent me a tablecloth.

foursquare, it’s great that you’re sending people merchandise to promote your brand name and spread the word about your website, but it would be nice if you distributed merchandise that is actually useful, rather than a massive tablecloth that I’m never going to use.

Taco Bell Layer Steak Fail

If you’ve been one of my readers since the beginning of this year, you might remember that I used to keep track of how many tacos I had from Taco Bell. From that alone, you can probably conclude that I’m a fan of Taco Bell, and if you do, then you’re right. … At least, you were right.

A short while back, I blogged about the XXL Chalupa from Taco Bell. I saw an advertisement for it on my own website, and decided to go to the local Taco Bell near my workplace to try one. Unfortunately, it didn’t go so well, as it was barely as large as two Chalupas combined and it came in a deceivingly large box.

Recently, I saw another advertisement on my website for the new Layer Steak. Not really considering my bad experience with the XXL Chalupa as a big deal, I decided to try the Layer Steak.

That was another mistake.

This is what it looks like:

Taco Bell Layer Steak

It came almost completely unraveled, which was good for putting hot sauce inside but bad for actually eating it in a civilized manner. The inside basically looks like a bunch of chopped up steak pieces smothered in cheese and thrown into a tortilla shell.

I’m losing hope in Taco Bell and probably won’t go there for a while, and will never go there again just to try a new item.

Peppercorn Chips Fail

I got a bag of chips today that was labeled as ground peppercorn flavor because I’ve never tried it before.

I’m probably never going to try it again.

Ground Peppercorn Chip

First of all, they forgot to mention that they dumped sea salt all over the chips so they are the saltiest chips you will ever have in your life before you die of sodium overdose.

Second, when they say peppercorn, they should elaborate to say that this basically tastes like someone took a bag of plain chips, bought some ground dry black pepper from the store, and dumped it in the bag.

Last, they should put a note on the bag that says something along the lines of “consuming these chips will make you sneeze non-stop for ten minutes.”

Unfortunately, life isn’t perfect.

Tip of the Day:

If you’re an academic advisor and you’re going to send out an email newsletter to your students, try to avoid using all the colors of the rainbow in your email.

Or else it will be very difficult to take the email seriously, as you can see.

Thanksgiving is next week, and I have two papers due, an exam, and a quiz next week. Seeing as that’s a little overwhelming and I don’t want any repeats of past instances where I ran out of time to study and finish everything up, I decided to start a bit early this time, so I’ve spent a majority of the day today organizing my schedule for the next 10 days before I go home for Thanksgiving break, preparing all the stuff I’ll need to study, and getting started on a few of my assignments.

In other news, a few days ago, I saw a man who appeared to be in his 60s riding a skateboard at an impressively high speed. I tweeted about this, but I decided I would mention it here in my blog because I have nothing else interesting to write.

In other other news, I found out yesterday that my apartment has motion-activated lights in the hallway. I’ve been living in the same apartment for over a year now, and I was pretty sure that they haven’t had motion detectors before, so I’m guessing that this is a new addition.

That’s all for today.

Don’t forget to brush your teeth tonight.

Random Tweets Being Favorited

I’ve been having an issue with my Twitter account lately. I’ve attempted to Google a solution but I haven’t been able to find anything. Fortunately, my blog readers have a good reputation of helping me solve my random problems, so I decided to post it here.

I’ve noticed lately that a lot of random tweets are appearing on my Twitter favorites list, even though I haven’t added anything to my favorites for over a year.

I know I’m not doing it by accident because whenever a tweet is favorited, there is an orange star icon that appears right in the top corner of the tweet. So, if I accidentally hit the favorite button, I’ll notice it right away because a bright orange icon will appear on the tweet.

I tried Googling for other instances where people noticed random tweets being automatically added to their favorites list, and I was unable to come across any results.

So, if you have experienced this problem yourself (or know someone who has) and came up with a solution, then please let me know by using my contact form, accessible through the Contact link in the navigation bar at the top of this page.

(To keep me sane, please avoid sending me a suggestion if you are not 100% sure that it will work. I have most likely already tried any suggestion that anyone can make, and am now waiting for the actual solution.)
