Tomorrow is my last day of summer classes for this academic year.

Be excited for me.

Topic #214: Explain the name of your blog and why you chose it.

Well this is easy.

The name of my blog is Parkzer’s Blog.

I named it that because I am Parkzer. And this is my blog.

Quote of the Day

Ed Lam: “You know what’s worse than having a worm in your apple?”

Parkzer: “Having two worms in your apple?”

Ed Lam: “No, the Holocaust.”

Topic #212: If you could spend a day doing anything you wanted, what would you do?

If I could spend a day doing anything I wanted, I probably wouldn’t really change what I normally do on a daily basis except for maybe sleeping in a little bit more and doing intensive work a little bit less.

I already enjoy most of what I do on a daily basis. The classes I take at school are interesting, or they’re something that I have to do anyway so I think of them in a more positive light because I might as well do so to make the experience less undesirable. Even my job is something that I enjoy doing, regardless of which job it is, because I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to either pick specific jobs that I like or get jobs that don’t require much hard work.

Most Annoying Mosquito Bite Ever

I mowed the lawn yesterday and got about ten mosquito bites, but there’s one in particular that I’m very dissatisfied about.

Want to know the most annoying place to get a mosquito bite?

The spot where your glasses rest on your nose.

There’s a noticeable and significant bump there, so my glasses are tilted, it’s slightly throwing off the balance of magnification of both lenses, and it’s making me dizzy.

Topic #211: What’s one “luxury” you refuse to live without?

A luxury I would not be able to live without is a computer with Internet access. A massive portion of my life takes place online on the Internet, and if I were unable to use a computer with Internet, it would feel as if a part of me was missing.

(Actually, a part of me would actually be missing, because I keep a lot of personal files and others’ contact information online.)

I Lost a Game of Words with Friends

I lost a game of Words with Friends today for the first time ever.

The beast who defeated me is Malory Goldin, you can find her on Twitter at @MalGoldin.

For those of you who don’t know, Words with Friends is a game for your smartphone or other smartphone-like device (like an iPod Touch) made by Zynga. It’s basically exactly the same as Scrabble except for different locations of bonus spots on the playing field.

I’ve been playing since about halfway through this past academic year, and I’ve always won every game I played because I take advantage of bonus locations and form multi-row words (such as placing letters so they form words in multiple directions, which adds the points from all the words to my score). Malory has been close to defeating me multiple times before, but she finally beat me this time, 387 to 378.

Topic #206: How much debt is too much?

I think any amount of debt that you can’t pay off in the time limit agreed upon in the contract is too much. For example, if you borrow $1,000 and agree to pay it off in 10 days, and you can produce a spare $100 every day to give to your lender, then the $1,000 in debt is not too much. However, if you borrow $1 and agree to pay it off in 10 days, but you cannot produce a spare $0.10 every day and can only produce an extra $0.09 per day, then the $1 debt is too much.

Google+ App Compatibility Fail

It was brought to my attention today that Google came out with the iPhone app for Google+ not long ago.

Shortly afterwards, it was brought to my attention that the app is only for iPhone and not for iPod Touch.

Laaame.

Topic #208: What’s a food you’ve always wanted to try? But have chickened out on trying?

There really isn’t any food that I really want to try that I haven’t tried yet. I’m not really a big fan of putting a lot of effort into finding unique and special foods to eat, and if I haven’t eaten something yet, it’s because it either sounds horrible to eat or it’s not really worth the effort to eat.

Topic #203: Why is there evil in the world?

This is a pretty obvious topic. There’s evil in the world to form balance with good. If there was only good, the equilibrium would be broken and the system would crash on itself.

Even if all the evil were to be taken away from the world and only good left, too much good would lead to laziness, which would ultimately lead to more evil being formed.

And, a world without evil wouldn’t be very interesting.
