Stranded on a Desert Island

Topic #28: If stranded on a desert island, and could only bring one music album with you, which would it be? What is it about this music that never gets old for you?
If I was stranded on a desert island and I could bring only one album with me, I would most likely not bring a music album, but a therapeutic album. Although there’s a handful of good ones out there that are supposedly proven to work, I generally use Brain Sync.
I don’t know how effective it really is, and I don’t know if I’m getting results out of it simply because I’m expecting it to work, but Brain Sync seems much more beneficial to me in the long run than does a regular musical album. The Brain Sync set comes with a handful of different tracks that send waves and subliminal messages to the mind. For example, the Deep Sleep track helps an individual fall asleep, stay asleep, and sleep deeper by sending pulses through stereo headphones that help the brain enter a more rested brain wave state. It also has subliminal messages of peace and relaxation, making the body feel more rested.
On the opposite end, the Pure Focus track helps an individual stay awake and alert. The pulses that a listener would hear helps the brain enter a more conscious state of mind and allows it to stay in sharper focus. All of this is done behind the mask of white noise, such as the sound of the ocean.
Because situations in deserted islands may be dangerous or brutal, any extra aid to help the brain function at its peak capacity would be helpful. Going back to the two previous examples, the Deep Sleep track might help someone enter an induced state of rest so they are concerned less about the potential threats of the deserted island, and can get a full night’s sleep. The Pure Focus track might allow someone to concentrate enough on a particular task that may help him or her survive and increase the chances of success.
Seeing as this isn’t a particular type of music that requires preference, and is just pulses and natural noise, it’s difficult for it to ever get old. By definition, someone would start disliking something if it is repeated so much that the pleasure the mind feels from experiencing the particular thing gets numbed and dulled down. Because Brain Sync is used for its benefits rather than its pleasure, I find it difficult to believe that it can ever get old.
Video of the Day
This video is actually a direct message to a friend of mine, and I’m pretty sure that a majority of my readers aren’t going to understand it, but I decided to throw it up on my blog anyway so it gets more views. Because more views is good.
