I concluded that the internal battery in the game cartridge ran out, so it wasn’t able to save games anymore. It’s about nine years old anyway, so I guess I shouldn’t be THAT depressed.

Today during sociology, we were studying the purpose of play. As a hands-on thing, we were supposed to bring in a toy that we used to play with when we were younger, and we were supposed to play with it the entire period.
In great excitement, I dug up my old Game Boy Color and my Pokémon Gold game from my storage box and grabbed two AA batteries. When I got to school this morning and went to sociology class, I discovered something tragic.
